Any guidance on buying a 3D printer that works out of the box?
I've borrowed an Ender 3D printer with enclosure a year ago and though it did the job getting the settings right was a trail and error nightmare, pretty off putting and I'm a guy that likes to get my hand dirty with the menus !
A few makes and models you have had success with would be really appreciated.
Thanks Chris S.

Re: Buying a 3D printer
Chris,
For filament printers, I've had a lot of success with Prusa. Admittedly, they are not the cheapest but mine has been really reliable over the years that I've had it. I'd certainly go back and get either the Core or the Mk4 when I either replace or add to the collection. I built mine (got the kit version) not only as it was a little cheaper but also so I knew what was what for potential troubleshooting. That said, it worked straight away. Prusa's own Slicer is easy to use and has a wide range of settings for an equally wide range of filaments.
I've also heard very good things about the Bambu Labs range. I know Mark and Andre have had great success with them and I've seen them used in a commercial setting as well.
If you're after a resin printer, I can't recommend Elegoo enough. Absolutely fantastic and very competitively priced. I've got 2 and would happily get another.
Hope this helps.
