Recruiting now for Spitty flyers to take part in the BMAC combat events and the Popham Airshow in 2026. We aim to create Spitty templates to speed up building, so watch this space. Note there will be a Spitty presentation at our club night 16th October at the Basingstoke Cricket Club.

If the templates are 'robust', I e., wooden, perhaps we could cut from them directly without the need to trace 😁

Does anyone have a large laser cutter or CNC router?

At the club night it was mentioned that a depron substitution was available at local diy stores.

Please can someone remind me where and what product I'd be looking for?

Thanks

I now have a Spitty template. So you can quickly draw around the parts. They copy the original plan you can also find on this forum or the Internet. If you follow the advice to move the c of g forward you can extend the front to move the motor mount 1-2 cm forward. Contact me oatesmr@googlemail.com if you want to use it, not by this thread.

In reply to TOTKO:
I bought the Depron-like material from B&Q. It is in with the wall coverings. I can't remember the name at present but it is easy to find. At Farnborough, it was on the back shelf laying flat in the same area as wallpapers.
The pack is 8 sheets for £16
