• This will be a one-off fun event to commemorate Mikes time at the Club.
• It will be an inclusive flying event suitable for most fixed wing models and suitable for all pilots with or without a buddy box.
• Food and refreshment will be provided
• One or more prizes to be awarded
Basic Idea: Flying
This will be a dead-stick spot-landing contest
Each flyer to fly around and, on instruction from the Marshal, will cut the throttle (to idle for IC) and land within a mark circle.
Possible details
After the dead-stick command, no activation of throttle, flaps, U/C or air brakes (these must be set for landing at the time of the dead-stick command).
Pilots given the option to abort the first attempt prior to touch-down.
Some special easement for those without A certs and still on buddy boxes.
Maybe a minimum model weight.
Two or three rounds, depending on numbers.
